Cristina Michalski was born in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico, where she started her training in ballet at age 5 at the Frank Dance School (RAD), after 10 years of training she moved to Guadalajara where she trained at the Ballet Academy of London and at Foro Danza where she started her teaching career teaching pre-pointe classes. After going to fashion school in Monterrey, she moved to NYC in 2010 where she continued her dance training at Broadway Dance Center and Sol Dance Center where she started teaching ballet and belly dance classes for teens and continued her training in belly dance, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, latin rhythms and modern jazz. In her dance career she has performed at The NYC International Salsa Congress, at various salsa and zouk congresses in the US and at belly dance Haflas and other shows. She has been part of the Solettes Dance Company for 5 years where we thrive to promote women's empowerment. She is a Producer for the Dancesanity Stars show which provides the Dancesanity Scholarship at Sol Arts Center. She is part of the Veganation project, where their main focus is the development of the vegan community and vegan products. She’s part of the team designing an apparel line, and being part of their all-vegan dance company: The Elastic Vegans, their mission is to create awareness about the treatment of animals. Some of their pieces include, V-gan or B-gone, Detest the Test, Liberation Nation.
